Job Description:

This position will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the SUU IT Help Desk. They will be in charge of hiring and scheduling Help Desk techs as well as managing SUU IT department-related projects.

Note: This is a temporary, six month position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- This person will assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new Help Desk employees.

- This person will create a schedule for Help Desk staff.

- They will manage and track IT support tickets assigned specifically to the SUU IT Help Desk.

- They will help triage IT tickets to the correct System Administrator.

- This position will also assist with answering phones, ticket creation, troubleshooting account-related issues and remote support.

- This position will also assist with the creation of a working IT Knowledge Base/Wiki to provide documentation to future IT techs.

- Maintain physical appearance of workstations/Help Desk office, including signage, surplus of outdated equipment, and submit requests for repair or replacement for damaged facilities or equipment, when appropriate.

- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming questions and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

Education and Experience Requirements:

- Great communication and phone skills.

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Willingness to learn.

- Strong organizational skills.

- Ability to keep and maintain deadlines.

- Experience with PC hardware and software troubleshooting.

- Basic knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Intune PC device enrollment.

- Experience with troubleshooting tablets and smartphones, networked printers, enterprise networking related issues and working with DHCP tables, as well as Apple computers and Jamf Enrollment Management.

Preferred Qualification: Bachelor Degree, applicable certifications or equivalent work experience would be a plus but not required.
