Job Description:
The SUU PREP Site Coordinator will work with the Director to oversee the planning, recruitment, budgeting, website, materials, ordering, hiring, and daily management of SUU PREP, a summer program for middle school students (suu.edu/prep).
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Funding: Securing funds through grants and donations, oversee budgeting, spending, find and organize cost-share and reporting for program grants.
2) Recruitment: Create recruiting documents (flyers, powerpoints, etc.), contact principals and teachers, visit local 6th grade classes, hold other recruiting events for families and community groups as appropriate.
3) Application Process: Edit all application documents and website, oversee application process, print/organize applications, grade applications with rubric. Oversee acceptance/rejection status communication, email parents/students once per month, send out acceptance packets.
4) Parent Orientation: Oversee and facilitate SUU PREP Parent Orientation.
5) PREP Employees: Hire, train, and manage student Program Assistants and SUU PREP Instructors.
6) Summer Program Operation: Oversee, manage, administer and direct SUU PREP during the summer.
7) Other duties include:
- Work with students and parents of SUU PREP; data collection/analysis/distribution.
- Organize SUU PREP schedule and facilities scheduling, find and schedule career speakers.
- Find, fund, and schedule field trips.
- Coordinate transportation.
- Purchase/organize/distribute supplies.
- Coordinate/print/organize curriculum.
- Attend IntermountainPREP meeting/TexPREP meeting.
- Work to create SUU PREP Board to assist with preparation and stakeholding in PREP.
- Work with IMPREP for evaluation, data collection, etc.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preference will be given to candidates with a STEM degree, K-12 teaching license, OR event planning/administration experience)

2) Demonstrated ability and comfort working in a digital workflow
3) Ability to supervise and organize middle school students
4) Demonstrated ability to gather, manage, and share data
5) Dedication to the idea of STEM education and careers
6) Ability to solve problems and work with students and parents
7) Ability to work flexible hours August-May, some evenings, and oversee SUU PREP June-July.
