Job Description:
The Education Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of quality education services in assigned Head Start classrooms. Directly mentors and monitors teaching staff including onsite visits, reflective reviews of observations, individualized training and when necessary, corrective action. The Education Supervisor acts as an integral member of the education team and must be able to contribute as a team member including receiving direction and providing feedback and follow through.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of teaching staff (teachers, assistant teachers and hourly aides) including regular onsite visits, ongoing communication, curriculum support and active supervision training. (20%)
- Review weekly lesson plans, monthly planning calendars, daily communications and child outcomes data. Provide training as needed. (20%)
- Support teaching staff to follow behavior management policies and procedures. Works with behavior management team to develop support plans and collaborate, as needed. (20%)
- Participate in new staff onboarding and training throughout school year. (10%)
- Participate as positive and productive member of Head Start leadership team, attending all required meetings, conferences and trainings. (10%)
Additional Duties:
- Conduct required employee performance appraisals and CLASS observations. (5%)
- Review incident reports. Provide appropriate direction, guidance and follow up when needed. (5%)
- Review and approve purchase requests and track and approve time of assigned teaching staff.
- Assist in finding substitutes as needed. (5%)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor. (5%)
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least two years experience with direct supervision responsibilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Zoom.
- Ability to work with diverse groups and contribute to a climate of inclusion.
- Annual CLASS certification will be required and provided by Head Start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Early childhood experience preferred
