Job Description:
The principal function of this position is to assist in the purchasing processes, hiring processes, and general administrative tasks at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and reconcile paperwork and transactions from the USF purchasing cards, including ensuring the correct expense coding for all purchases. This includes posting of transactions, ensuring documents are collected for monthly audit, and doing expense transfers when necessary.
- Assist in the hiring process for all seasonal employees, particularly with seasonal hourly employees.
- Coordinate compliance with Federal, State, and University hiring laws and policies and ensure I-9 verification, W-4 completion, and general compliance for all employees.
- Communicate with SUU Human Resources to verify readiness to work for all seasonal employees before their start dates.
- Assist with company management or artist services functions, as requested. Assist with travel for seasonal company, as requested.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the Utah Shakespeare Festival Board of Governors, as requested.
- Assist with other administrative tasks, as requested.
- Oversee the reception area and associated staff/volunteers and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere for employees and the public.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Must be a highly organized, detail oriented, problem solving individual.
- Be efficient, accurate, and customer service oriented and be able to handle matters in a confidential manner.
- Demonstrated strong human relations abilities and excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Willing and able to learn new technology platforms as they become available and help others learn them as necessary and applicable.
- Possess time management/prioritization skills; have the ability to plan for and meet deadlines; the ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising or managing others, including best hiring practices, familiarity with contract law and unions, and training employees.
